lyrics

At some point in this life
The rain is gonna fall
Are you able to see past the pain
To things you’ve gained
And see it all as just a gift?

And when it’s getting dark
I know you’re feeling small
Are you gonna spend your life in bed
Like waking dead
Or are you gonna shine your light?

I’m gonna shine my light on you
I’m gonna shine my light on you
I’m gonna shine my light on you

And now the time has come
To ask this of yourself
Is your focus on the stress and strain
All in vain
Is now the time to shine your light?

I’m gonna shine my light on you
I’m gonna shine my light on you
I’m gonna shine my light on you

Something better is always coming
But believe before you’ll see
Raise your bloodshot eyes
And don’t turn them away

Something better is on its way
So just breathe and then release
Relax and let things be
Beneath the stormy skies…
